Also hauling capacity 300% because I tried it once and now I can't stand my colonists only hauling 75 of something at a time lmao. What we really need are wheelbarrows.

Infestations are there to deter building mountain bunkers. At lower difficulties, one or maybe 2 hives spawn bugs that can rough whoever was in the room pretty badly. On intense and definitely extreme setting, Infestations pop 3-4 hives and each hive have 1 extra tinier bugs than normal. They also hit harder; yay.

Not sure which video you watched, but the one from björn from the "rimworld science" series covers this topic pretty extensively. Infestation chance is also controlled by light 100%! Just try it out in devmode yourself. Enable "draw infestation chance" and you'll see that dark rooms will have a much higher chance than comparable lit rooms.
